Luncheon N.6 – Autumn Winter 2018-19

Luncheon N. 6 opens with a feature on artist Donald Urquhart, with text by Nicholas Cullinan and Urquhart’s illustrations appearing throughout the pages. A lunch at Latteria San Marco in Milan is documented through photographs by Lars Brønseth and a text by Josefine Skomars. Patrick Kinmonth revisits the world of Erté in Dining Out with Erté, accompanied by the artist’s illustrations. Julia Hetta contributes a story titled Nudes, styled by Hannes Hetta with a text by Lucy Kumara Moore, while a studio lunch between Daniel Silver and Ian Jenkins is captured by Mary McCartney. A long lunch shared by Kerry James Marshall, Cheryl Lynn Bruce, and Angela Choon accompanies a portfolio of paintings by Marshall. Gallerist Maureen Paley selects her cultural inspirations, introduced by a text from Charlie Porter. The Harlem Dance Theatre is celebrated through archival photographs by Snowdon, curated by Grace Wales Bonner, with text by Hilton Als and captions by Arthur Mitchell. The issue also features Robin Muir’s tribute to cook and writer Patience Gray, as well as a portfolio of artworks by David Gentleman ,in conversation with Sarah Mower.
