Luncheon N.5 – Spring Summer 2018

Luncheon N. 5 opens with Tables of Solace, a photographic series by Sarah Moon, and includes a lunch shared with Aline Kominsky-Crumb and Paul Morris. Fran Lebowitz reflects on her 1983 portrait by Snowdon. Hilton Als contributes a piece on the British film genre known as the kitchen sink drama. Gosha Rubchinskiy photographs actress and film director Renata Litvinova. Paul Smith and Catherine Lampert discuss the life and work of painter Euan Uglow, while Paolo Roversi captures Monsieur Christian Dior’s couture from 1948 to 1957, styled by Grace Coddington. Robin Muir writes on the lives and legacy of Alice B. Toklas and Gertrude Stein, and Duro Olowu curates a portfolio of artworks by Tsuguharu Foujita. The issue concludes with Japonais, a fashion story photographed by Sølve Sundsbø, styled by Mattias Karlsson, with creative direction by Thomas Persson.
