Luncheon N.3 – Spring 2017

Luncheon N. 3 presents a visit to Christian Dior’s Château de La Colle Noire, with archival photographs of the designer at home in 1957 by Snowdon, and the Dior collection revisited sixty years later in the same garden, photographed by Jack Davison. The issue also features an imagined lunch by Wes Anderson and Michael Lindsay-Hogg, and a portrait of Café de Flore by John Balsom. Simone Rocha is captured in New York, and Berlin-based fashion collective GmbH is profiled. In celebration of the Rei Kawakubo / Comme des Garçons exhibition at the Met, Luncheon N.3 brings together a tribute featuring photographs by Paolo Roversi and drawings and paintings by Julien d’Ys, drawn from their longstanding collaborations with the designer. Cookery writer Elizabeth David is portrayed by Robin Muir, and the issue includes a series of fashion stories by Julia Hetta, Hannes Hetta, Zora Sicher, Marie Chaix, Sølve Sundsbø, Ben Toms and Mattias Karlsson.
